NFL Week 7 Fanduel Optimized Lineup (Expert)

Yeah I Don't Even Know Who I Am.

Fanduel Expert leagues are hard. They are impossible when you get killed by injuries and general sucking. My advice, unless you are a true, bonified expert then I'd stick with my Standard Optimized Lineup or Beginner Optimized Lineup. You've been warned, buying Thaddeus Lewis is not for the faint of heart.

QB Analysis
Who foresaw Thaddeus Lewis' amazing day against the Bengals last week? Put your hands down you big fibber. Expert leagues are tough, so you need to take a flyer somewhere, usually several somewheres. Watch the news on his foot. If he sits use Weeden instead.

RB Analysis
Knowshon Moreno has been a stud and Peyton will lean heavily on him this week against his old team. I chose McCoy over Charles for one reason, Charles cost more and in an Expert league and I couldn't afford him.

WR Analysis
This week I am buying low at wide receiver. But that doesn't mean I am tossing my $ away. These cheap options should score nearly as much as the big boys, but cost you a lot less.

Atlanta has been destroyed at the wide receiver position and now it is the Harry Douglas show. He isn't a speedster, but if you see my Buy Low WR column this week you'll see he has a great chance to explode this week.

Golden Tate was a preseason sleeper and this is the week against the Cardinals I think he delivers on that. Lets hope Petersen covers somebody else.

Keenan Allen has looked like Calvin Johnson the last two weeks. This week he gets the Jags who could make me look like Calvin Johnson (well maybe). Expect some great yards and a Td from this low cost buy.

TE Analysis
Jimmy Graham is on a bye and injured and coming of a big fat zero. Enter the ageless one Tony Gonzalez and his increased role in the Atlanta offense now that Julio Jones is out and Roddy White suspect. Big numbers for Gonzo.

K Analysis
Robbie Gould was money last week. This week he'll be money again.

D Analysis
Last week the Kansas City defense outscored Tom Brady, Tony Romo, Peyton Manning and just about everybody. They go to Houston whose QBs have thrown a pick 6 FIVE weeks in a row. Is it too much to ask for two this week? Oh yeah, lotsa sacks too.

Week 7 NFL Fanduel Optimized Lineup (Standard)

Top 3? I am? Sweet.

Injuries killed my Week 6 NFL Standard Fanduel Optimized Lineup. This week I've made my pleas, dig a good mojo dance and engaged a seer to peer into the future. Okay I made up the last part, but I am a mighty snazzy dancer.

I love my Week 7 Optimized Lineups and I expect to bad my bank account come Tuesday morning. Follow my advice and you can join me.

QB Analysis
If I told you seven weeks ago that Philip Rivers would be a Top 3 player regardless of position you would have laughed, made shot drinking motions behind my back and ignored anything I said thereafter. To date he has thrown for 1,847 yards and 14 TDs. Expect those numbers to increase significantly against the Jags.

RB Analysis
Lets face it LeSean McCoy and Jamaal Charles are amazing badasses. I loved being able to afford both this week. Top backs against suspect run defenses. Sign me up. "That's all I have to say about that."

WR Analysis

NFL Week 7 Fanduel Optimized Lineup (Beginner)

Take That Peyton.

WOW. What the Hell Happened in Week 6? Injuries killed my lineups and I was not a chipper fella. If providence holds then this week should be less of a cluster@#%&. Lets pray to the fantasy gods that they are kind in Week 7.

The New Orleans Saints and the Oakland Raiders are on the bye so some standard must plays are not seeing action this week. Nowhere is this more obvious than at the tight end position. Weekly Buy High Jimmy Graham (except last week) injury hopefully won't last beyond the bye. Until then look elsewhere.

QB Analysis
I nearly went with Cam Newton here. He is a feature QB in this week's Buy High column and I think he'll continue what he started last week. However, Andrew Luck has been consistent money and this week the emotions will run high. So will the balls against the Broncos who allow more passing yards than anyone int he NFL.

RB Analysis
Lets face it LeSean McCoy and Jamaal Charles are amazing badasses. I loved being able to afford both this week. Top backs against suspect run defenses. Sign me up. "That's all I have to say about that."

WR Analysis
Man O' Man do I love this week. Victor Cruz and Justin Blackmon could easily top the charts this week and Keenan Allen will be a Top 15 play. 300 total yards and 5 TDs are within reach. For a total cost of $18,800??? Not Convinced?

Justin Blackmon has more targets and more yards over the last two weeks than any other pass catcher. He'll double his season TD output this week against the San Diego Chargers who have given up 1.742 yards and 10 TDs to opposing pass catchers.

Victor Cruz has been quiet the past few weeks but this week the Vikings and there 13 Td passes allowed come to town. Salsa fans rejoice, you'll see some dancing this Sunday.

Week 6 NFL Fanduel Optimized Lineup (Expert)

QB Analysis
Tony Romo had a better performance on Fanduel.com than any other QB and he did that against the Broncos. This week the Redskins and their bad, bad defense come to Dallas and Romo is going to enjoy the day. Start him and get 3+ TDs.

RB Anaylsis
Moreno has finally taken the load in Denver (for now) and he's going against the soon to be demoted to the Canadian Football League (ala the English Premier League) Jaguars. I suspect that the Broncos will be up huge and that the second half will feature a lot of garbage time points for Moreno.

I Love Danny Woodhead. He is a powerhouse little scamp and with perennially disappointing Ryan Matthews unlikely to play, Woodhead will need to take up the slack if the Chargers hope to beat The Colts. Even if they don't Woodhead will see nice numbers.

WR Analysis
In my Standard Week 6 lineup I was forced to pick lower priced WRs. With the extra $5,000 I had to spend in the Beginner leagues I chose to upgrade this position.

Terrance Williams almost made my roster last week. I went with Broyles and paid for it. I won't make the same mistake again. Dallas will have to throw against the Colts and with Miles Austin still out and Dez Bryant seeing a lot of attention, expect Williams to see the end zone again.

Cecil Shorts is far to good to be on the Jaguars. Yet, despite this career handicap, Shorts has put up great numbers. With Henne playing Shorts will be the go to guy against Denver. They'll have to throw and a lot to keep this game even vaguely close. Lotsa garbage time plays.

T.Y. Hilton is making Colts fans look back in time. 2013 looks surprisingly like the year that Reggie Wayne surpassed Colts legend Marvin Harrison with Hilton playing the Wayne role. Hilton and Luck have become fast friends and this bromance will only grow stronger against the Cowboys who had a mega-shootout against the Broncos last week.

TE Analysis
This is the first week that I am NOT going with Jimmy Graham. Partly because I paid a lot at other positions and partly because of the match up. The Patriots are masters of taking away an opponents best player. On the Saints that player is Jimmy Graham. He may still be a stud, but I don't see him blowing up, especially since I suspect the Saints will run t the ball against a suddenly vulnerable New England run defense.

Julius Thomas has been a monster for Peyton and while you can never predict who will catch TDs in this offense, the Broncos love to use him in the red zone. Expect the big numbers to continue.

K Analysis
Dan Bailey will get a chance to kick a lot. He is accurate and will give you a nice stat line this week.

D Analysis
The Jets have a solid offense and the Steelers have a solid nothing much. A solid $5,000 option this week.

Bryant Good for at Least One.

Last week my Beginner Lineup Scored less than my Standard Optimized Lineup. Go figure. It goes to prove that on Any Given Sunday a WR3 can beat a WR1. But that doesn't mean you should buy low. Stud receivers are studs because of their consistency. With that strategy in mind here are my Week 6 NFL Picks for Beginner Fanduel Leagues.

RB: DeMarco Murray $7,800 WAS@DAL
RB: Knowshon Moreno $7,000 JAC@DEN
WR: Terrance Williams $5,600 WAS@DAL

WR: Pierre Garcon $7,000 WAS@DAL
TE: Julius Thomas $6,900 JAC@DEN

QB Analysis
In a normal week Peyton Manning has become a no-brainer. Against the (Insert Favorite Insult Here) Jacksonville Jaguars he's doubly so. My only concern is that they get up by so much that Peyton sits significant time in the second half. Course if that happens, Peyton will likely have already had a great game.

RB Anaylsis

This week the attack will be more balanced. Only the Jags (see Moreno above) allow more rushing yards than the Redskins.

I'm going to double dip into the Dallas WR pool. Dez Bryant sits atop my wide receiver chart this week with Calvin Johnson a question mark. Against the horrid Washington pass defense, Bryant will put up huge numbers.

I love Pierre Garcon this week at Dallas. RGIII will have to throw a lot to keep up with Romo and his boys. Garcon will get a lot of of these looks and his talent is to great to shut down.

Are the Jags an NFL Team?

Normally I do not like drafting players that are playing on Thursday night. There are a lot of reason why I don't like Thursdays, but my main issue is the potential for injury, suspension or other benching in the intervening three days.

In Thursday Fanduel.com leagues your roster locks when the first game starts. So if Calvin Johnson and his hefty price tag unexpectedly sit (as happened in Week 5) you are screwed. So as a general rule I do not like Thursday games.

This week I love the Thursday game so I've written a special Thursday edition Fanduel Standard $60,000 Optimized Lineup. Here's why.

The New York Giants (0-5) are heading to Chicago to face the Bears (3-2). The Bears offense has been on fire. The D has been solid. The Giants don't like Eli anymore. How else can you explain the 15 sacks he's taken through five games.Eli has complete 15 passes to opposing teams. The Giants have allowed 30 points or more in each game. The Bears will kill it and as a Patriot's fan I'm gonna laugh myself silly when the Giants fall to 0 - 6.

I love Forte and have for years and with Marc Trestman at the helm of the Bears, Forte has gone from great to elite. Cutler will get the ball to Forte a ton, whether runs or catches. Start him and smile.

NFL Week 5 Fanduel Optimized Lineup (Expert)

Trust in Rivers

This week I'm going to do something a little different. Instead of giving you mid level options that can help you fill out your roster I'm going to give you an optimized Fanduel lineup for both the Beginner $65,000 salary cap, the Standard $60,000 cap and the Expert $55,000 cap.

QB Analysis
After being burned by Philip Rivers innumerable times my gut tells me not to trust him. But, he has been phenomenal this season and the Expert Fanduel.com leagues are difficult cuz they are expert. Even if Rivers gets me a few points less than his 23 average, I'll feel like I came out on top.

RB Analysis
With the running back flux hitting owners full in the face this year, I'm spending buying Frank Gore, who has been a consistent, if not sexy fantasy pick. Against Houston he will be more than worth the $6,900 he costs.

Rashad Jennings was pretty damn good in relief off the injured D-Mac and San Diego has been bad against the run. Jennings will catch some balls and make some runs. I'm hoping one is for a TD.

WR Analysis
It's Week 5 and I welcome you to the ultimate low price flyer edition of WR Fanduel. Eric Decker is my most sure bet. While he may not catch a TD pass, Peyton has made a point of keeping all his pass catchers happy. Decker is the cheapest Bronco receiver which makes him a solid play any week.

Alshon Jeffery has been a nice play this year. He is averaging 11 points through the first four games, and I think that despite the Saints better defensive play he'll do better than that this week.

Nate Washington has averaged a crazy 15 points per week this year and he blew up last week. He is a consistent receiver that will have to perform to keep Tennessee in this game. Expect lots of garbage time work.

TE Analysis
Not much to analyze here. I'm paying for Jimmy Graham and I am glad to do it. Jordan Cameron has been great, but I want consistent greatness and Graham gives me that. Keep an eye on Cameron going forward. He just might join Graham.

K Analysis
I try not to spend money on a kicker. Out of the $5,000 options Janikowski is my favorite.

D Analysis
New Oleans' defense has made major strides this season. I don't have high hopes for them this week, but with only $5,000 to spend they are the best option. Let's hope for a Cutler pick six.

This week I'm going to do something a little different. Instead of giving you mid level options that can help you fill out your roster I'm going to give you an optimized Fanduel lineup for both the Beginner $65,000 salary cap, the Standard $60,000 cap and the Expert $55,000 cap.

Fanduel Standard $60,000 Optimized Lineup

QB: Peyton Manning $10,400 DEN@DAL
RB: Frank Gore $6,900 HOU@SF
RB: Matt Forte $8,600 NO@CHI
WR: Ryan Broyles $4,500 DET@GB
WR: Hakeem Nicks $5,900 PHI@NYG

QB Analysis
Peyton Manning has averaged 30 points a game and should continue his dominant ways against the Dallas Cowboys. I did consider going with Drew Brees, but his matchup against the Bears scares me a tad. While I expect great things from Aaron Rodgers he cost only $100 less, I'm sticking with Manning.

RB Analysis
With the running back flux hitting owners full in the face this year, I'm spending a bunch on two solid options. Frank Gore has been a consistent, if not sexy fantasy pick. Against Houston he will be more than worth the $6,900 he costs.

Expect Top 10 payout this week. Matt Forte barely a point less than Bush this season. New Orleans' defense has been solid this year, but I think Forte will catch a ton of balls and reach past the pylons at least once.

WR Analysis
With all the craziness surrounding the receiving game this year finding safe picks at a decent price has proved to be nearly impossible. So I've decided to follow suit and go high risk/high reward with this weeks wide receivers.

Nate Burleson had been a surprise PPR star for Detroit, but a car crash cost him the season. Enter Ryan Broyles who will have to pick up the slack for Stafford and company if Detroit hopes to keep it close in Green Bay.

The ultra talented Hakeem Nicks hasn't seemed so talented this year. If he doesn't see the end zone this week against the Eagles he'll be in for a long season. I think he does.

Fanduel Beginner $65,000 Optimized Lineup

QB Analysis
Peyton Manning has averaged 30 points a game and should continue his dominant ways against the Dallas Cowboys. Until further notice, Manning is my no-brainer choice at QB. He'll cost you, but there is no more consistent option at any other position besides maybe Jimmy Graham who is also a must buy and my choice at TE this week. If you go cheap at QB you'll pay, or more accurately not be paid.

RB Analysis
With that solid foundation I turned my eye to the RB position. Backs have been a cluster of inconsistency this season, so I looked for consistency OR upside. When he's been healthy this season Reggie Bush has been a phenom. Detroit will have to chuck the ball to keep up with the Packers this week and Bush will likely see a lot of work in both facets of the game.

Bush cost me so I had to go cheap for my second running back. I stuck with the same game and picked the rookie RB Eddie Lacy from Green Bay. Lacy seems to be healthy and will get a lot of work against Detroit. With two potent offenses and tow suspect defenses I expect this game to be a scoring fest.

WR Analysis
Wide Receivers in 2013 have been an erratic lot with huge potential. While consistency has been difficult to find, when a receiver goes off in the new receiver friendly NFL they go OFF. For my first receiver of the week I've tot he Green Bay/Detroit game. Randall Cobb has been among the top WRs in weekly scoring so far in 2013 and I think he hasn't reached his peak. This week I suspect he'll easily be a Top 5 play.

Torrey Smith was a beast last week and I think his big play ways continue against Miami in what I suspect will otherwise be a boring game. Smith should top 100 yards and see the endzone at least once.

With all the money I've spent so far I had to take a flyer on my third receiver of the week. Hakeem Nicks is superbly talented, but injury has slowed him this season. Against the horrid Philly defense Nicks will emerge this week or no week. It's a gamble I'll take.

TE Analysis

Kansas City has proven to be a brilliant defense this season. With Jake Locker out, Tennessee will have trouble scoring on this entertaining bunch.
