Daily Fantasy Plays Presents: Free Plays For NFL Week 6

Weekly Free Plays
Each week the majority of Daily Fantasy Websites offer free rolls to first time players. They are a perfect way to dip your toes into the world of weekly NFL fantasy football or for those experienced players a free try at a website you may not have previously played.

Week 6 NFL Weekly Free Plays

If this is your first time playing I advise trying all the sites. Find the one you like the best and then start playing that one for a while. Once you've got the hang of it, move on to other sites. Most importantly, have fun.

Week 6 NFL Fanduel Optimized Lineup (Expert)

Hi Dez. Hi Terrance.
Expert leagues on Fanduel.com are not for the faint of heart. They are for those who truly know football and are willing to bet they know more than the other who choose to play in them. This optimized lineup will help you be part of the group who call themselves winners.

Fanduel Expert $55,000 Optimized Lineup

QB: Tony Romo $8,800 WAS@DAL
RB: Knowshon Moreno $7,000 JAC@DEN
RB: Danny Woodhead $6,100 IND@SD
WR: Terrance Williams $5,600 WAS@DAL
WR: T.Y. Hilton $6,000 IND@SD
WR: Cecil Shorts $6,300 JAC@DEN
TE: Garrett Graham $5,100 STL@HOU
K: Dan Bailey $5,100 WAS@DAL
D: New York Jets $5,000 PIT@NYJ

QB Analysis
Tony Romo had a better performance on Fanduel.com than any other QB and he did that against the Broncos. This week the Redskins and their bad, bad defense come to Dallas and Romo is going to enjoy the day. Start him and get 3+ TDs.

RB Anaylsis
Moreno has finally taken the load in Denver (for now) and he's going against the soon to be demoted to the Canadian Football League (ala the English Premier League) Jaguars. I suspect that the Broncos will be up huge and that the second half will feature a lot of garbage time points for Moreno.

I Love Danny Woodhead. He is a powerhouse little scamp and with perennially disappointing Ryan Matthews unlikely to play, Woodhead will need to take up the slack if the Chargers hope to beat The Colts. Even if they don't Woodhead will see nice numbers.

WR Analysis
In my Standard Week 6 lineup I was forced to pick lower priced WRs. With the extra $5,000 I had to spend in the Beginner leagues I chose to upgrade this position.

Terrance Williams almost made my roster last week. I went with Broyles and paid for it. I won't make the same mistake again. Dallas will have to throw against the Colts and with Miles Austin still out and Dez Bryant seeing a lot of attention, expect Williams to see the end zone again.

Cecil Shorts is far to good to be on the Jaguars. Yet, despite this career handicap, Shorts has put up great numbers. With Henne playing Shorts will be the go to guy against Denver. They'll have to throw and a lot to keep this game even vaguely close. Lotsa garbage time plays.

T.Y. Hilton is making Colts fans look back in time. 2013 looks surprisingly like the year that Reggie Wayne surpassed Colts legend Marvin Harrison with Hilton playing the Wayne role. Hilton and Luck have become fast friends and this bromance will only grow stronger against the Cowboys who had a mega-shootout against the Broncos last week.

TE Analysis
This is the first week that I am NOT going with Jimmy Graham. Partly because I paid a lot at other positions and partly because of the match up. The Patriots are masters of taking away an opponents best player. On the Saints that player is Jimmy Graham. He may still be a stud, but I don't see him blowing up, especially since I suspect the Saints will run t the ball against a suddenly vulnerable New England run defense.

Julius Thomas has been a monster for Peyton and while you can never predict who will catch TDs in this offense, the Broncos love to use him in the red zone. Expect the big numbers to continue.

K Analysis
Dan Bailey will get a chance to kick a lot. He is accurate and will give you a nice stat line this week.

D Analysis
The Jets have a solid offense and the Steelers have a solid nothing much. A solid $5,000 option this week.

Week 6 NFL Fanduel Optimized Lineup (Beginner)

Bryant Good for at Least One.
Last week my Beginner Lineup Scored less than my Standard Optimized Lineup. Go figure. It goes to prove that on Any Given Sunday a WR3 can beat a WR1. But that doesn't mean you should buy low. Stud receivers are studs because of their consistency.  With that strategy in mind here are my Week 6 NFL Picks for Beginner Fanduel Leagues.

Fanduel Beginner $65,000 Optimized Lineup

QB: Peyton Manning $10,800 JAC@DEN
RB: DeMarco Murray $7,800 WAS@DAL
RB: Knowshon Moreno $7,000 JAC@DEN
WR: Terrance Williams $5,600 WAS@DAL
WR: Dez Bryant $9,200 WAS@DAL
WR: Pierre Garcon $7,000 WAS@DAL
TE: Julius Thomas $6,900 JAC@DEN
K: Dan Bailey $5,100 WAS@DAL
D: Kansas City Chiefs $5,600 OAK@KC

QB Analysis
In a normal week Peyton Manning has become a no-brainer. Against the (Insert Favorite Insult Here) Jacksonville Jaguars he's doubly so. My only concern is that they get up by so much that Peyton sits significant time in the second half. Course if that happens, Peyton will likely have already had a great game.

RB Anaylsis
Moreno has finally taken the load in Denver (for now) and he's going against the soon to be demoted to the Canadian Football League (ala the English Premier League) Jaguars. I suspect that the Broncos will be up huge and that the second half will feature a lot of garbage time points for Moreno.

DeMarco Murray isn't a sexy pick, and a alot of people will sour on him after last weeks poor stat line. But I think that was due to the fact that both teams tossed the ball all over creation. This week the attack will be more balanced. Only the Jags (see Moreno above) allow more rushing yards than the Redskins.

I'm going to double dip into the Dallas WR pool. Dez Bryant sits atop my wide receiver chart this week with Calvin Johnson a question mark. Against the horrid Washington pass defense, Bryant will put up huge numbers.

I love Pierre Garcon this week at Dallas. RGIII will have to throw a lot to keep up with Romo and his boys. Garcon will get a lot of of these looks and his talent is to great to shut down.

D Analysis
The Chiefs D is for real and they go against the Oakland Raiders who, despite Pryor's fascinating play this year, are not all that good. The Chiefs will sack Pryor and pick him off frequently.

Week 6 NFL Fanduel Optimized Lineup (Standard)

I Like to Move It Move It.
This week I've gone against my normal philosophy of avoiding the Thursday game in Fanduel.com weekly leagues. But, if my brilliant wisdom doesn't convince to play in Thursday leagues I've compiled my normal Sunday/Monday lineup. I sure am nice. You should thank me, No really, comment below and share this with your friends.

Wanna challenge me? Find a game (or ten) on Fanduel.com and challenge me (I play under the name carneyvores)

Fanduel Standard $60,000 Optimized Lineup

QB: Peyton Manning $10,800 JAC@DEN
RB: Knowshon Moreno $7,000 JAC@DEN
RB: DeMarco Murray $7,800 WAS@DAL
WR: Terrance Williams $5,600 WAS@DAL
WR: T.Y. Hilton $6,000 IND@SD
WR: Pierre Garcon $7,000 WAS@DAL
TE: Garrett Graham $5,100 STL@HOU
K: Dan Bailey $5,100 WAS@DAL
D: Kansas City Chiefs $5,600 OAK@KC

DeMarco Murray isn't a sexy pick, and a alot of people will sour on him after last weeks poor stat line. But I think that was due to the fact that both teams tossed the ball all over creation. This week the attack will be more balanced. Only the Jags (see Moreno above) allow more rushing yards than the Redskins.

WR Analysis
I've spent a lot on the QB and RB position. Now it is time to make that up with some lower price WRs who will continue their high priced ways.

Terrance Williams almost made my roster last week. I went with Broyles and paid for it. I won't make the same mistake again. Dallas will have to throw against the Colts and with Miles Austin still out and Dez Bryant seeing a lot of attention, expect Williams to see the end zone again.

I love Pierre Garcon this week at Dallas. RGIII will have to throw a lot to keep up with Romo and his boys. Garcon will get a lot of of these looks and his talent is to great to shut down.

He may still be a stud, but I don't see him blowing up, especially since I suspect the Saints will run t the ball against a suddenly vulnerable New England run defense.

So I'm going upside and choosing Garret Graham who has been decent and now has an increased role due to Owen Daniel's injury. Expect skittish Matt Schaub to look for Graham frequently.

K Analysis
Dan Bailey will get a chance to kick a lot. He is accurate and will give you a nice stat line this week.

D Analysis
The Chiefs D is for real and they go against the Oakland Raiders who, despite Pryor's fascinating play this year, are not all that good. The Chiefs will sack Pryor and pick him off frequently.

Week 6 NFL Fanduel Optimized Lineup- Including Thursday (Standard)

Are the Jags an NFL Team?
Normally I do not like drafting players that are playing on Thursday night. There are a lot of reason why I don't like Thursdays, but my main issue is the potential for injury, suspension or other benching in the intervening three days.

In  Thursday Fanduel.com leagues your roster locks when the first game starts. So if Calvin Johnson and his hefty price tag unexpectedly sit (as happened in Week 5) you are screwed. So as a general rule I do not like Thursday games.

This week I love the Thursday game so I've written a special Thursday edition Fanduel Standard $60,000 Optimized Lineup. Here's why.

The New York Giants (0-5) are heading to Chicago to face the Bears (3-2). The Bears offense has been on fire. The D has been solid. The Giants don't like Eli anymore. How else can you explain the 15 sacks he's taken through five games.Eli has complete 15 passes to opposing teams. The Giants have allowed 30 points or more in each game. The Bears will kill it and as a Patriot's fan I'm gonna laugh myself silly when the Giants fall to 0 - 6.

This is the Thursday to Play Fanduel.com. Find a Thursday League and Join Me.

Fanduel Standard $60,000 Optimized Lineup (Including the Thursday Game)

QB: Peyton Manning $10,800 JAC@DEN
RB: Matt Forte $8,600  NYG@CHI
RB:  Knowshon Moreno $7,000 JAC@DEN
WR: Alshon Jeffery $6,300 NYG@CHI
WR: Terrance Williams $5,600 WAS@DAL
WR: T.Y. Hilton $6,000 IND @ SD
TE: Garrett Graham $5,100 STL@HOU
K: Robbie Gould $5,000 NYG@CHI
D: Chicago Bears $5,500 NYG@CHI

RB Anaylsis
I love Forte and have for years and with Marc Trestman at the helm of the Bears, Forte has gone from great to elite. Cutler will get the ball to Forte a ton, whether runs or catches. Start him and smile.

Moreno has finally taken the load in Denver (for now) and he's going against the soon to be demoted to the Canadian Football League (ala the English Premier League) Jaguars. I suspect that the Broncos will be up huge and that the second half will feature a lot of garbage time points for Moreno.

WR Analysis
I've spent a lot on the QB and RB position. Now it is time to make that up with some lower price WRs who will continue their high priced ways.

Alshon Jeffery may be the best fantasy WR on the Bears. He has shown deep play speed and is targeted an insane amount by Cutler. Expect another big day from the young speedster.

Terrance Williams almost made my roster last week. I went with Broyles and paid for it. I won't make the same mistake again. Dallas will have to throw against the Colts and with Miles Austin still out and Dez Bryant seeing a lot of attention, expect Williams to see the end zone again.

T.Y. Hilton is making Colts fans look back in time. 2013 looks surprisingly like the year that Reggie Wayne surpassed Colts legend Marvin Harrison with Hilton playing the Wayne role. So I'm going upside and choosing Garret Graham who has been decent and now has an increased role due to Owen Daniel's injury. Expect skittish Matt Schaub to look for Graham frequently.

K Analysis
I suspect the Bears to put up 30 or more points against the Giants. Gould will see a lot of chances and is a solid $5,000 play.

D Analysis
The Bears have to be salivating here. Eli has taken 15 sacks and tossed 15 interceptions. I expect both numbers to go up and see a pick 6 or kickoff TD as probable.

How'd I Do? : Week 5 NFL Fanduel Edition.

I Am Peyton - Buy Me.
Week 5 did not play out how I expected in a lot of ways. The Detroit/Green Bay game was not a score fest. Tom Brady's consecutive games with a TD pass was broken. Eli Manning evidently forgot who Victor Cruz was.

However if you took my advice on my Fanduel Standard League Optimized Lineup you probably ended the week with more money in your Fanduel.com account than you started with. You're welcome.

Here's how I fared in Week 5.

Fanduel Standard $60,000 Optimized Lineup

QB: Peyton Manning $10,400                 36.7
RB:  Frank Gore $6,900                           14.1
RB:  Matt Forte $8,600                            13.5
WR: Ryan Broyles $4,500                          4.7
WR: Hakeem Nicks $5,900                      18.7
WR: Alshon Jeffery $5,300                      32.8
TE:  Jimmy Graham $8,400                     18.5
K:    Sebastian Janikowski $5,000            12.0
D:    New Orleans Saints $5,000                 6.0
_______________________________________

Total:                                                       157.00

Broyles sucked it up, but he cost very little. Manning and Graham prove to be must starts.Jeffery was my big sleeper and came up huge. Nicks finally showed up. Janikowski proves to be an every week stable play. The Saints did okay for their cost. If you started this lineup you probably won a nice little chunk. Tell me how you did.

Fanduel Beginner $65,000 Optimized Lineup

QB: Peyton Manning $10,400           36.7
RB:  Reggie Bush $8,700                     8.9
RB:  Eddie Lacy $6,000                      10.2
WR: Randall Cobb $7,900                  12.7
WR: Torrey Smith $7,400                   15.1
WR: Hakeem Nicks $5,900                18.7
TE:  Jimmy Graham $8,400               18.5
K:    Sebastian Janikowski $5,000      12.0
D:    Kansas City Chiefs $5,300          16.0
_______________________________________
Total:                                                   148.8

I bet huge on the GB/DET game and it cost me. You may have done okay with this lineup, but probably not great. This lineup exposes the dangers of going heavy on one game (or joy if you picked DEN/DAL.).

Fanduel Expert $55,000 Optimized Lineup

QB: Philip Rivers $7,400                    21.44
RB:  Frank Gore $6,900                      14.1
RB:  Rashad Jennings $5,200                4.1
WR:  Eric Decker $6,500                    15.2
 WR:  Nate Washington $5,200             4.5
WR:  Alshon Jeffery $5,300                32.8
TE:   Jimmy Graham $8,400               18.5
K:     Sebastian Janikowski $5,000     12.0
 D:     New Orleans Saints $5,000         6.0
______________________________________

Total:                                                      128.64

Jennings, Washington and The Saints all gave me single digits with this lineup and likely doomed you to adding no digits to your Fanduel.com account. Expert remains tough.

The Ten Commandments of Weekly Fantasy Football

Peyton Fantasy Gold - Amen
“Knowledge isn’t power until it is applied.” - Dale Carnegie.

Winning and losing at daily and weekly fantasy websites like Fanduel.com or DraftKings.com is something that you can control. As with most things in life those with the most knowledge who understand how to apply that knowledge are those who are successful. This is true in business, in romance and absolutely true in weekly fantasy leagues.

"But what about luck. I'm just not lucky," I hear you say. Sure luck does come into play. Michael Vick may get injured early in a game and kill your chances for a win. Eli Manning may inexplicably forget to throw to Victor Cruz for two weeks straight. Blah, blah, etc.

You cannot control what happens on the field. What you can do is know what is likely, even probable, to occur in each game. To that end I have compiled the Ten Commandments of Weekly Fantasy Football Leagues.

Most of these commandments I've learned by doing. I've not understood the scoring system. I've started an injured player. I've obsessively fidgeted with my lineup. These commandments will help learn from my mistakes so you can maximize your chance of taking home some cash in weekly fantasy football leagues.

Good Luck and let me know of your successes or failures. Feel free to suggest more commandments, because unlike Moses mine aren't inscribed on permanent stone tablets. Use this power well. Use this power wisely. Share the power with friends.

                                                                                                                                        NEXT

Daily Fantasy Websites

Daily and Weekly fantasy websites have taken the fantasy sports world by storm. You've seen the commercials. You've heard friends talking about them. Now you want to try for yourself. I don't blame you. Try it once and you'll be hooked. Try it once and you'll stop caring as much about your "normal" fantasy leagues. Here is a list of the top daily fantasy websites. Click the links to start playing on each individual website.

Fanduel.com
Fanduel.com is the most well known of the daily fantasy websites and is a perfect place to start. It has a simple and elegant interface that makes it easy to pick your first team and be on your way to winning both money and bragging rights. Read More "Introduction to Fanduel."

DraftStreet.com
Draft Street may not be as big as Fanduel and to be honest their interface is a bit more confusing, but it has a variety of ways to play daily fantasy sports that Fanduel does not. A friend of mine loves the style of play at DraftStreet and has completely abandoned Fanduel. Play a game and see for yourself. You may just love it too. Read More "Introduction to DraftStreet."

DraftKings.com
DraftKings is a Boston based company that hopes to compete with Fanduel.com and DraftStreet.com. They have taken a lot of what makes daily and weekly fantasy websites so much fun and tweaked it in a unique way. Read More "Introduction to DraftKings."

Introduction to DraftStreet.com

DraftStreet.com Daily Fantasy
Daily and Weekly fantasy websites have taken the fantasy sports world by storm. You've seen the commercials. You've heard friends talking about them. Now you want to try for yourself. I don't blame you. Try it once and you'll be hooked. Try it once and you'll stop caring as much about your "normal" fantasy leagues.

  • Get a 100% bonus on a $100 deposit with the promo code carnage.
  • Seven sports to choose from. NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, College Football, College Basketball and PGA golf.
  • Three types of games. Snake Draft, Pick Em and Salary Cap.
  •  Entry fees ranging from FREE to $420.
  • Quick payouts and withdrawals through PayPal or check.
  • A blog that has daily posts with advice and tips.
If you love drafting fantasy teams then DraftStreet.com may be your home in the daily fantasy world.  This type of league is a snake draft where you get to draft a new team for each league you enter. If you are a mock draft addict this is the game for you.  Unlike standard draft leagues, you do not need to get stuck with an injured player.
