Running Backs for NFL Week 3 - Fanduel

Will Bell Beast-Mode Out?
Fanduel Plays of the Week: Running Backs

Each week of the NFL season I'll be profiling three running backs that I believe will outperform their Fanduel.com cost. Generally I will try and profile players that cost under $8,000 to provide maximum value. This is based on semi-equal parts research, history and gut feeling.

Joique Bell  - $6,500
If you pick Joique Bell and Reggie Bush doesn't play you are in for a good day my friends. Even if Bush plays, Bell should easily equal his cost against the woeful Washington Redskins defense. IF, Bush sits then Bell could, could, could, easily be a Top 5 RB play this week. He is a multi-threat back who will stay on the field if Bush is out for the game.

Keep a close eye on the injury report. Bell is a great play in leagues that exclude the Thursday games because you'll ba able to wait until Sunday morning to make a roster change. Put him in and take it easy if Bush plays. If Bush doesn't play, start snickering and rubbing your hands together Scrooge McDuck style.

Projections: 70 rushing yards and 1 TD. 50 receiving yards and 1 TD.

Frank Gore-  $6,700
Frank Gore sure seems older than his 30 years doesn't he? He feels like 50, but this week I think he'll run like a 24 year old. Despite the big splash they made by trading for Trent Richardson Indianapolis remains a bad rush defense. (Yes I know Trent ain't playing D)

So, the 49ers are a potent offense and Gore can catch the ball. Gore has disappointed this year and his price this week shows it. I think this is the week he surges back into the Top 10, maybe better.

Projections: 85 rushing yards and 1 TD. 35 receiving yards.

James Starks - $5,600
This is a pure value pick. The Green Bay offense is just sick and it is truly stunning to learn that Starks 100 rushing yards last week makes him the first GB back to reach the century mark in years. YEARS. I say he has a better than even chance to do so again and if he does, Starks will be a steal at this price.

I'm hoping and counting on GB to need to run out the clock in the fourth quarter, so Starks may make you nervous until the game clock hits the two minute warning. Stay strong kid.

Projections: 75 rushing yards and 1 TD. 25 receiving yards.
